We’ve been doing real well as of late, but we could not have even imagined it without you guys! This is a giant “thank you” to the Oppo community and an overview of changes we are making.
I’ve made a few changes to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , including skimming down our writers so our current crop could shine brighter (too cheesy?). Here are some fancy titles:
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
is now an admin as he is the best of us. Fancy Title: Contributing Editor.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
is our Contributing Writer.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! nailed that time we were on the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and is our other Contributing Writer.
And I,
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
, am your Editor-in-Chief (yes, it’s mostly made-up).
We will stop sharing to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , for the most part. In fact, I have been not sharing for a couple weeks now to test if the views are more-or-less organic or not, but feel more than free to share our posts yourself.
If you are interested in following us, you can always type-in/bookmark !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (We do have the “.com” domain, thanks for asking), or follow us on twitter at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and join our loving banter with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
We must also thank our front-page friend !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for sharing our stuff to the infamous !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , kick-starting most of our successful posts.
Formula Freak still does not make any money. We all do this after our normal work and/or school hours for fun. Our never-before-stated, but apparent goal is to write articles centered on a headline, or smallline, and frame it in a different light; FreddsterExprs is the best at this, taking a headline and extracting what it will mean for the future of the motorsport we love so passionately we started a random blog; just one of the reasons this is his blog as much as it is mine. We don’t and won’t ever just repeat a headline story; there’s no fun in that!
I personally will be at the Formula 1 race in Austin, Texas in October; I hope you will come by and say “Hi” if you should attend also; I’ll post more deets later (or if you have a suggestion of a bar/restaurant meet-up?).
And finally, If you’re interested in writing for us (crossed fingers for GP2 or Formula E contributors) just let me know and attach a link to some of the things you’ve written.
Any questions/suggestions? I’m not exactly sure what the future will bring for us, but I’m excited.
Thank you Opponauts! You are our RB9.

I still advocate Black Flag drops F1 and just starts posting your stuff. I know there’s Jalopnik economics at play here, but your product is quality. Here’s hoping for a paying gig for you guys real soon.
See you in Austin!

I’d like to be commenter-in-chief (provider of stars and conversation starters for worthy comments still in the gray) and also become Fractal the Flying Fox’s Evil Nemesis (spoils results on live blogs, disagreeing on some talking points, purveyor of silly ideas). I wanna be both the in-house welcome guy and the Dr. Doofenshmirtz of Formula Freak. And it will be fun.
Godspeed Formula Freak.
All hail Formula Freak.

Fractal Footwork said everything there is to say, so I’ll keep it short. Thank you Oppo for making Formula Freak work the way it does now.
Also, on a more personal note, I’m quite overwhelmed by the praise. At the beginning I wasn’t sure if I could contribute to the blog in a way that really ads value for the readers, with so many other sources out there and English not being my mother tongue. Thank you all so much.

Love the formula freak articles guys. My only complaint is I wish there were more articles posted. Without a doubt you guys write the best stuff on the web that I've found in regards to F1.

Great work guys! For over a decade, planetF1 was my go to for all things F1. I can honestly say that I prefer you guys way more. I still go to PF1 to look at results, but if I want some actual insight into what’s going on, I come here. Thanks for doing what you do!

I’ve liked the site for a while and it just seems to be getting better! I’ll work on nonchalantly plugging the site on some other F1 sites I’m fairly active on.
